The painting party has been cancelled for June 10^th.  We will work with the National Park Service to re-schedule.

Analysis done on the existing paint after the first work day revealed that the existing paint contains lead.  This means that NPS will have to do additional preparation work in accordance with regulations covering lead paint before they can finish this job.  NPS is committed to re-scheduling this activity at a future date, so hopefully we will be able to help with the painting sometime in the future.   We are also working on getting water so we can finish what we started on the globe cleaning.
