Celebrating the future of Titanic Memorial Park
Commemorating the 110th anniversary of the sinking of the RMS Titanic
Join us April 14 - 17, 2022 for a series of events hosted by the Friends of Titanic Memorial Park promoting:
New Engagement
Join us as we celebrate five years of collaboration and community, where we have partnered with the National Park Service to make simple maintenance and landscape enhancements, improving a beloved space that has increased gatherings of friends, family, and fishermen in this quiet oasis that anchors the bustling 21st century SW DC.
New Perspectives
Stories of Bravery, Tragedy, and Survival throughout the park will tell about individual passengers and crew to humanize the disaster, and focus on the role of class distinction in those stories from that fateful night. Tours & talks in the park will further illuminate the stories of the sinking that resonate today.
New Commitment
A ticketed Gala & Tribute will highlight the importance of our park, appreciation of neighbors and leaders who have supported the Friends in our first five years, and kick off our partnership with the National Park Service as it prepares to undertake a major investment in our waterfront jewel.
