Elevated Salt Levels after our February 1 Storm
#SaltWatch. Increase in salinity after our snow event Jan 31 - Feb 2. On Feb 5, at 4pm, salinity measured 2.4 Quantab units, of 63 ppm. This is significantly higher than the baseline reading at Titanic Memorial Park, which was 0.8 Quantabs.

First 2020 Storm, No Salt Elevation
#SaltWatch measurement taken at 8:40am on 17 December 2020, in the Washington Channel at Titanic Memorial Park. We had a weather event yesterday and streets were salted. Our area had mostly rain. Measurement is 0.8 Quantabs, < 31 ppm, and the same measurement as the baseline.

Salt Levels remain in the Normal Range
Salt levels were not elevated after our small snow event on 1/7/2020. Chloride test strip reads 1.4 Quantab units, <31 ppm on 1/9/2020 at Titanic Memorial Park in Southwest DC.
Winter Salt Watch Baseline Test
